Giorgetti, who has been producing high quality furniture for over one hundred years, is today one of the most important protagonists of contemporary Italian design in the world. And in a logical expansion of the brand, this leading woodworking producer will launch the first Ukrainian Giorgetti Atelier in Kiev on 23rd and 24th October 2013 with a full calendar of events: on 23rd at 3 pm there is a press conference and at 7 pm there is the presentation evening dedicated to the guests. On 24th an exclusive meeting with the architects will be held.
The Giorgetti Atelier in Kiev will be furnished on the top floor of one of the historical buildings in Vladimirskaya St, in the cultural heart of the city, not far from the Opera house and the Golden Gate, the symbol of Kiev. Moreover, in this prestigious area, you can find the most important luxury hotels such as the Renaissance Kyiv hotel, opening soon, and the high-end fashion and designer stores. In the same building where the Giorgetti Atelier will be housed, for example, there is Davis Casa, one of the main furniture stores in the city and Giorgetti’s partner for this opening.
With a working kitchen and bathrooms, this space is a real home where Giorgetti’s pieces will be shown, both iconic pieces and new ones, in a reproduction of real domestic environments. These will be inspiring rooms, completely different from the traditional showroom, putting on a show of an elegant and contemporary lifestyle. In Giorgetti Ateliers the objects are no longer simple products, they become the protagonists of a lifestyle, inspiring contemporary taste.
Giorgetti Atelier represents a new approach to interior design, it is intended to offer in a private, exclusive and customised context both the collections and the places for meeting and designing, in order to satisfy the increasingly refined requirements of the global market. Giorgetti Ateliers, moreover, are presented as design culture places where architects, buyers, developers and private customers can be inspired to design their home or office. The welcoming environment highlights the beauty of the lines and materials of the pieces on show. The use of neutral colours for the walls and floors and the fabric inserts draw attention to the natural raw materials (wood, stone, leather, glass and fabrics) from which the Giorgetti pieces are made, the result of a long and intense research in the field.
The Giorgetti Atelier in Kiev will have a dining room furnished with a Yli table designed by Chi Wing Lo and Diana armchairs by Carlo Colombo; a living room featuring a Vittoria sofa again designed by Carlo Colombo; a master bedroom with an Ion desk by Chi Wing Lo, an Altea bed and Morfeo bedside tables, both by Carlo Colombo. Lastly, in a small sitting room there are Peggy armchairs designed by Giorgetti Research Centre and an Oro sideboard by Chi Wing Lo.
